Alternate
Album Cover For "Again"
Theories
on the current album cover and the alternate version.
To
be honest, I never consider using this alternate cover to be the
"feel" of this album. I liked it, but did
not feel I needed a change. The cover that
exists today speaks volumes to my intent. It captures my solitude,
the changes in my life, and the brave unknown. I was pleased
with what I had.
The
Existing Cover:
I
was ecstatic when I ran across this photo in my digital
photo bank. The cover design literally fell out of my back pocket.
Oh how I love photography, if only I could have a life
filled with the creation of music and one of capturing life's
moments raw,
man, now that would be heaven.
My
Second Guessing:
I found myself on the down side of reaction; customers pause, silence, and
the dreaded ohhhhhh. I knew those reacting knew me, I knew they
didn't know
the me that I was trying to be. However, the rivers of self doubt
envelop me.
I
took this project on with full confidence and stride. I knew what
I wanted, I feel I got it. But,
reactions from the real world can really mess with a confident minds direction. I
didn't really look at this alternate cover until the CD was out there.
Reactions give to reaction.
The
regretful battle of what you want and what "you think"
they want, we all feel it, we all need it in some disturbing
way. It "they" touches us in every walk of life. It is the battle
that I wish never existed. It is a battle that tears our insides
apart. However, someday in a land far greater than ours, it could be a battle that binds
us together. Obviously, I am not the one to do this or even
to be the champion of the effort.
