The Flat and First Felucca Ride on the Nile

The flat is wonderful. It's three bedrooms and is 1/2 block off Road 9. A main drag here in Maadi. 

Felucca boats are large tub-sail boats that take you up and down the Nile for an hour or two. 20LE per hour, or about $4.33 US.

Often there are donkey pulled carts below.


Satellite dishes are everywhere . 
They plop them down on roof tops and secure them with a cone of cement.

Felucca ride. 
These are our ships captains. 
The younger one loves cookies.



Nile at sunset. 
You can see the Giza pyramids through the trees. 
The easiest one to see is behind the 3 trunk only trees on the middle left.
(Hint its a pyramid shaped and gray looking.)

My choice this evening was Heineken and flat bread.

Just think 2 weeks prior to this picture we were doing the same thing on the Mississippi.
