One of my
top five goals in life has been completed. Walking a
desert dune at sun up...
Day 1,
Western Egypt in the Sahara Desert. The first night we
stayed in a 'hot springs hotel. Soaked in the natural
waters and turned a bit red from the mineral deposits. An
Oasis, real... serious.
Day 2,
the Black Desert. Camping underneath the stars. A picture
below shows our campsite to the left of a rather large
pointed rock.
Day 3,
the White Desert. The hammer - the winds, the chisel...
sand. A truly amazing site with hundreds of rock
formations formed from what used to be the bottom of the
oceans.
