Gearing Up
The water is warm and thus, no wet suits. This means, no weights; only t-shirt, swim trunks, and one big fish tank.

My favorite quote before my first dive on this trip. Bruce Conrad, "Steve, are you sure you want to wear those swim-trunks, the herbivores may think you're a meal." It made me think. I, later beat him in a game of cards. It felt good - payback of some sort.

Loading onto the Zodiac. It takes us into hard to reach dive sites.

Lisa, your on my fin - AGAIN.

Weightless 100 feet under.. say cheese.

First, Some Small Stuff
Everybody loves a clown - fish (Nemo).
Nudi Branch (sea worms) - not more than 1/2 inch.
A shrimp, but not one you'd eat. They'll manicure your cuticles - for free.

Some Big Stuff
Diving with dolphins.

No cages in the Red Sea. It's not a zoo. We got lucky on this one.

Moray Eel - they're harmless... right?
Two Meter Manta Ray. Herbivore hunter extraordinaire.

Honestly, the most beautiful thing I've seen in my life. There is a higher something going on. Must be seen to be believed.

Blue Spotted Ray.
Da Dum, Da Dum, Da-dum-da-dum, Da-dum-da-dum.
(2 meter gray reef shark)

Graceful. Simple. Not Hollywood's interpretation, just beauty.

Upon seeing my first shark, my reaction was quite simply, "It moves like an angel."

"May I pet you?"

Jean does ask for permission first. (see the video)

The zen of diving.....
Ahhhhh... "and what was it that I was stressing over...?"
My favorite quote from photog Natalie extraordinaire.

"Steve, you're either one inch from something (staring at the reef) or you're floating in the middle of nowhere."  Natalie.

"Dancing where the stars go blue."

"Darling, you dance like you're floating on air."

Something old, in something blue.
Returning to the Tutu 1.

It 's amazing to see your 100 foot boat from 100 feet under the sea, knowing there is a cold one waiting for you and great stories to share with great friends.

A day of four dives ends in a hotly contested game of cribbage.
